My Second Ultimate Reset Completed

Ok, here’s the verdict on my 21 Day Ultimate Reset detox cleanse. Remember as you are reading, these are MY results and this is MY journey. It’s easy to play the comparison game – don’t do that. I encourage everyone I work with to set healthy goals that are right for them. Feeling good in your own skin is top priority!

Technically, I started this journey as a 30 day commitment and I began Jan 6th with my challenge group and spent a prep week eating 💯 plant based. I then began the Ultimate Reset, a 21-day process of eliminating certain foods and toxins from your diet, cleaning up your system, relaxing the nervous system, removing coffee, and improving your immune system. It’s not designed to be easy. It’s designed to work using a specialized meal plan and supplement regimen. Here are my results:

The before photo above is from Sept 20 but my measurements were real close to matching my Day one on Jan 13th. I don’t know why I didn’t take before pictures. Honestly, I think it was a little bit psychological. When I got back from the holidays and saw 156 on the scale, I was kind of shellshocked. I don’t think I really wanted to see that all my hard work had been thrown out the window, so I just avoided(consciously or subconsciously, not sure) taking pictures until it was too late. I did do weekly weight and measurements though. All in all, this was a very positive experience for me. Perhaps the biggest thing (outside of getting my weight back in the healthy range) was a moment of mental clarity I experienced yesterday. I was in a meeting and the words I was saying just flowed from my brain out of my mouth flawlessly. Now this might not seem like a big deal, but I get really frustrated that I never seem to be able to deliver my thoughts in the articulate way that I know I can. It truly is a like a “brain fog.” I didn’t really understand what people meant when they said they had achieved mental clarity because of their diet until yesterday. It felt like an out of body experience! I walked out of that meeting feeling like I could take on the world. That right there is motivation to stick with this.

I have eaten a primarily plant-based diet for over two years. It is really easy to get off track though. I started letting dairy and processed foods rule my daily nutrition. The reward I got was feeling terrible and gaining 11 lbs. I needed this reset to remind me that I really do love the way I feel when I eat plants. I feel empowered, in control, less joint pain, lighter, and smarter as a result of these 21 days. I look forward to continuing the journey!
